This is a very easy recipe to make and it shouldn’t take you pass 30 minutes to get it done.
Cybercheffy’s String Beans In Hoisin Sauce
Ingredients:
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 medium sized red onion, minced
- 2 medium sized tomatoes, (skinned if possible)
- 6-9 long String Beans (Cut it down to your desired length and remember to remove the vein)
- 1-2 Chili, minced
- 3-4 tbsp of oil
- 4-5 tbsp of Hoisin Sauce
Procedure:
- Heat pan on medium heat
- Start off by putting your onions, sweat it for a few minutes then add the garlic
- Once they start caramelizing (turning brown-black but not burned!) add the tomatoes for moisture
- Caramelize all the ingredients until little moisture is left
- When the ingredients have caramelized, add 1/4 cup of water and your Hoisin Sauce
- Taste it at this point, if the taste works for you, add your string beans.
- Cook until desired consistency (String Beans should still resist a bite and not saggy)
- Add salt/pepper to taste and all your chiliĀ
- Mix then serve
- Serves 2-3 persons.
This recipe goes well with fried meat and rice.
